What personal data we collect and why we collect it

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Who we share your data with
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Where we send your data

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

How we protect your data

– We collect only the data necessary for the execution of activities and the provision of services. We secure all data with periodic backups.

What third parties we receive data from

We only transmit your personal data if you have expressly consented to it, if we are under a legal obligation to do so or if this is necessary to assert our rights, in particular to assert our rights resulting from the contractual relationship. In addition, we transmit your data to third parties insofar as this is necessary for the use of the websites and the execution of the contract (including outside the websites), in particular for the processing of your bookings.
Our web host, Infomaniak, is a provider that has access to, or access to, personal data collected via the websites. The websites are hosted on servers in Switzerland. The purpose of data transmission is to provide and maintain the functionality of our sites. This treatment is based on our legitimate interest under s. 6 al. 1 let. f RGPD.
Finally, we send the issuer and the purchaser of your credit card information about it when paying by credit card on our sites. If you choose to pay by credit card, you must enter all the necessary information. The performance of a contract according to art. 6 al. 1 let. b RGPD is the legal basis for the transmission of data. Regarding the processing of your credit card information by these third parties, please also read the terms and conditions and the privacy policy of your credit card issuer.

What automated decision making and/or profiling we do with user data

We use third-party email marketing services to send our newsletter. For this reason, our newsletter may include a web beacon (invisible GIF) or similar technical means. A web beacon is an invisible image called monopixel (1×1) that is linked to the user ID of the newsletter subscriber.
The use of this type of service makes it possible to evaluate whether emails containing our newsletter have been opened. In addition, this can also detect and evaluate clicks made by the recipient of the newsletter. We use this data for statistical purposes and to optimize the newsletter in terms of content and structure. This allows us to better orient the information and offers in our newsletter according to the interests of the recipient concerned. Invisible GIF is cleared when you clear the newsletter.
If you would like more information, you can visit https://mailchimp.com/legal/cookies.
To prevent the presence of tracking pixels in our newsletter, please set up your mail so that your messages are not displayed in HTML.
