Training Stories Elsa

Hi my name is Elsa, I’ve been doing Training at Training All Elements for almost a year now, I’m 29 years old and before Training I was mainly running and a lot of horse riding. Today I combine horseback riding and Training three times a week.

Why did you start Training?

I used to do running but I was bored a lot because I was all alone. Then some people close to me told me about this sport and I was immediately interested so I wanted to try it!

What is your first accomplishment in Training?

I remember the first day I passed a clean & jerk split jerk at 45kg. I was really proud of myself because it’s a complex weightlifting move that I learned at Training. That day, I couldn’t believe how much weight I had put above my head. My first accomplishment is really this move, but there’s also the snatch that I didn’t know at all because I was starting from scratch in weightlifting. Having started Training, I have now integrated these two movements.

What are your next goals?

I work mainly on the upper body because it is my weak point, as well as gymnastics, that is to say push-ups, pull-ups and toes-to-bar, which are for me three difficult exercises.

What are your favourite moments?

My favourite moment for me at Training so far was probably the Open nights, because we all push ourselves to the limit, there is a group cohesion which is really important especially at Training All Elements and everybody encourages each other. We all share the frustration, the accomplishments, the joy and it’s really only between us that we can understand each other.

It’s really something very special that made those evenings an important moment, because I also got to know new people, and even if you don’t know someone you’re going to go and encourage them and it all connects. There is a real human side to it.

What was your first impression of Training?

I thought Training wasn’t for everyone! I thought that you had to be in good physical condition to be able to practice it and finally, when I started the classes, I saw that the coaches adapted the exercises and movements to the level and mobility of each person. That’s when I realized it was accessible to everyone.
