The Open season is coming! Whether you’re a seasoned competitor or a beginner, proper preparation is the key to success. Here are some essential tips to help you perform at your best with a simple plan.

📈 TRACK YOUR PROGRESS

Take a moment to reflect on your training since the last Open. 💭 Identify areas where you’ve improved and those that still need work. This will help you adjust your training strategy and set realistic expectations.

⚡ DAILY IMPROVEMENTS MATTER

The time before a competition can shake your confidence. 😬 Remember: the Open is a marathon, not a sprint. Every little progress counts! 💪

😴 RECOVERY IS KEY

Good training = positive stress 💥 → Your body recovers 🛌 → You improve 📈.

The excitement of the Open may tempt you to overtrain. Don’t neglect recovery, or you might end up disappointed in your performance. Better to arrive fresh and ready than exhausted!

🎯 SET YOUR GOALS

Success in sports is personal. Set your own goals for the Open based on your past performances and progress.

You need two types of goals:
A final goal (e.g., complete a WOD RX, beat last year’s score, etc.)
Workout-specific goals (e.g., pacing strategy, lifting a certain weight, etc.)

📅 PLAN YOUR SEASON

Organize your training schedule 📆:
🕒 When and at what time will you train?
💡 What strategy will you follow?

Good planning = better mental and physical preparation!

👀 FIND YOUR JUDGE

Having someone to support you can make a huge difference! Choose a judge who:
Enforces the standardsEncourages and motivates you

A great judge = better performance and an overall better experience!

📜 FOLLOW THE RULES

The Open is an official competition. Read the rulebook! 📖⚖️

📌 Movement standards
📌 Setup requirements
📌 Score submission deadlines

Don’t let a technical mistake ruin a year of hard work! 😱

🎉 HAVE FUN!

These tips are simple and effective, but don’t forget why you’re doing this:

🔥 Because you love the sport
🔥 Because you want to improve
🔥 Because the Open is a celebration of the community

Be proud of yourself and of others! 💪💙

🏆 Have an incredible Open season! 🏆

Best,
💥 Your All Elements Family 💥
