Quinoa and Dates

Ingredients for 2 persons :

  • 100g of quinoa

  • 100g of date purée 

  • 250 ml of vegetable drink, water or milk

  • 1 tbsp. vanilla extract

  • Topping: berries, dried fruit, seeds, spices, etc.

Preparation (20 minutes) :

  1. Place quinoa in a colander and rinse well.

  2. Place in a saucepan with the date puree, vegetable drink (or milk) and vanilla.

  3. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, then reduce heat to medium-low and cook, uncovered, for 10 to 15 minutes, according to package directions.

  4. Turn off heat, cover and let swell for about 5 minutes.

  5. The quinoa is cooked when the grains are translucent and the white germ has emerged.

  6. Garnish as desired and enjoy!
